The “Schwarze Lacke” on the Vigiljoch is an enriching landscape element due to its typical flora and fauna. Fish, frogs, newts and various aquatic insects live in the pond. Numerous dragonflies can also be found in the biotope. Swimming is prohibited.
The Vigiljoch offers an unrivalled panorama and is one of the most beautiful vantage points in the region. From here, you have a breathtaking view of the imposing Dolomites, which tower majestically into the sky. The Dolomites are characterised by their unique geology and the impressive play of colours in the sunlight. The glowing red of the sunsets is legendary.
The view stretches across the vast Adige Valley, dominated by the striking peaks of Ifinger and Hirzer. The view extends further into the idyllic Passeier Valley.
The Texel Group, an impressive mountain massif, stretches across the Vinschgau Valley. This mountain range is characterised by its rugged cliffs and diverse flora and fauna.
The view of the Laugen and the Ultner Hochwart round off the panorama.
This panorama on the Vigiljoch is a real treat for nature lovers and hikers, who can experience unforgettable views and peaceful nature here.

The animal park – say hello to goats, sheep, rabbits, runner ducks and turkeys. Enjoy a picnic in the middle of the meadow or at the wooden tables and watch the children’s eyes light up in the playground: the slide, swings, giant sandpit and trampoline are a great way for all children to pass the time!

In summer, the animals are also on holiday. From June to September, Haflinger horses and the farmers’ cows graze on the lush alpine meadows.
The traditional cattle drive takes place in September. When all the animals leave the alpine pasture unscathed and return home, they are beautifully decorated and driven from the Bärenbadalm along hiking trail no. 34 to Pawigl.
